The role:

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will work directly with AI research and applied science teams to design, deploy, and optimize data labeling workflows that enhance model training and evaluation. You will act as the technical bridge between AI teams and our platform, embedding with customers to analyze their model performance challenges and implementing custom data collection pipelines, automation tools, and quality control processes that improve AI alignment, safety, and performance.

Key responsibilities:

• Analyze model performance to identify data gaps and opportunities for improvement
• Design and deploy custom data collection pipelines tailored to specific model objectives
• Implement API-based integrations to streamline data flows between AI models, data labeling systems, and quality control processes
• Develop and optimize quality control mechanisms to reduce bias and maximize insights in training data
• Collaborate with AI researchers to run experiments that refine data collection methodologies and enhance model performance

• The ability to embed with external AI teams, understand their pain points, and deploy technical solutions, including designing quality control measures to improve AI model performance.
